Torres del Paine National Park is a renowned area in Patagonia for trekking due to the breathtaking scenery and great hiking trails. We donned our packs, down jackets, sturdy hiking boots and headed off for six days of trekking through the park.

I love camping and was thrilled to be able to camp each night in a new spectacular location. It was great to wake up to breathtaking views like this every morning.
In six days of walking we covered 88km.
Certainly better than a gym workout.

The terrain was varied but always spectacular. Some days the trail took us through steep terrain that seemed to be made for mountain goats, others were past turquoise glacial lakes or huge granite towers from where the park got it’s name.
Day four was hiking alongside Gracier Grey. It is part of Patagonia’s massive southern continental icecap.
Surrounded by icebergs…!
